Made in the colours of Ireland, this green white and orange vase is made using high quality Bullseye architectural fused glass.
Hand made in Ireland this vessel is made using the drop out method, where a block of glass with the design element is fused in the kiln.
Once cooled, the vase is suspended in the kiln on ceramic pillars and a circular former.
The glass is then re-fired and gravity forces the glass through the ceramic former to produce the vessel.
Once cooled, the original glass block is removed with a diamond saw and then coldworked by being grinded and polished.
This unique Irish glassware is made in the studio of glass artisan and sculpture Keith Sheppard in County Armagh, this Irish glassware although a lovely piece of glass art, in its own right, it’s also a functional vase for home decoration.
